Like millions of others, 2020 was not the year I had hoped, in terms of my personal goals. Still, wonderful things happened. Sunny days. Snowy days. Birthdays. New babies. Renewed hope for the future.
2021 and beyond will bring more joy, and more tragedy. That is the way of our world.

By the way - the words on the photo above (taken in October from Pocaterra Ridge, Rocky Mountains, Alberta, belong to Etienne Gaboury (a Canadian architect from Manitoba). He ended with "It is petrified history". Stone, that is. Maybe that's why I love walking the Rockies so much. Their ancientness (is that a word?) transcends..whatever it is I wish to transcend.
